NOTICE – Extension of Earthquake Relief Measures
ARERA Resolution 3/2026/R/com

Updates on relief measures for customers in red zones and uninhabitable properties in earthquake-affected areas: extension of tariff relief measures until December 31, 2026 (ARERA Resolution 3/2026/R/com)

Through Resolution 3/2026, ARERA has ordered the extension of tariff relief measures for populations affected by the earthquake events in Central Italy (2016) and Ischia.

The provision automatically extends bill relief measures for electricity and natural gas until December 31, 2026, in favor of:

  • Utilities and supplies related to properties declared uninhabitable (inagibili).
  • Utilities located within the so-called “Red Zones” (Zone Rosse).

Provided that electricity consumption in the year 2025 was equal to zero.

For uninhabitable properties and those in red zones with electricity consumption in the year 2025 greater than zero, the extension of the relief measures is conditional upon the continued status of uninhabitability. This must be declared via self-certification (autocertificazione) to the electricity and natural gas Supplier by March 31, 2026.

Should the uninhabitable status of the property cease before December 31, 2026, it is mandatory to notify the supplier within 30 days.

For further details or to verify the requirements, please consult the full text of the resolution on the official ARERA website at www.arera.it or contact our Customer Service at the toll-free number 800.93.93.00.
