Duferco Energia is looking for a freelance professional with expertise in the residential and non-residential building construction industry to join the team currently working in this field, by organizing the contracting activities of such works.
Role and Responsibilities
The professional will be in charge of coordinating and supervising the project from the quotation to the construction phase, with greater emphasis on the latter, ensuring progress according to the established schedules and to the extent of his/her responsibility.
All this, in line with the Company General Guidelines.
Areas of Interest
We are specifically looking for freelancers in the following areas:
- Liguria
- Emilia Romagna
- Northeast Italy (Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige)
- Sicily
- Province of Sondrio
Specifically, the company is seeking one person for each one of the four areas listed above.
Tasks
The professional must be fully competent on the tasks (which shall be followed by the Applicant during his/her service) listed below:
- Technical and economic analyses on specifications and tenders
- Energy diagnosis analyses for energy efficiency interventions on building enclosures
- Project analyses for building seismic retrofitting
- Metric calculation analyses
- Ability to analyze providers’ offers and quotes
- Project implementation cost forecasting, abiding corporate standards
- Drafting active contracts, abiding corporate standards
- Checking providers’ quotes and drafting technical documents for procurement of goods and services
- Coordination and supervision of site activities
- Construction site documentation
- Construction site accounting
- Cost variation during construction
- Progress of site activities, according to the work schedule
Requirements
At least a 10-year experience in construction sites
Excellent project management skills
Problem-solving attitude

Job profile information for: Junior Quantitative Analyst
As a Junior Quantitative Analyst, you will support the development and maintenance of models that assist real-time trading decisions in the intraday power markets. You’ll work closely with experienced data scientists and traders, contributing to a collaborative team that values curiosity, precision and continuous learning.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and testing of models and analytical tools to assist trading
- Collaborate with senior team members on data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Use Python and machine learning techniques to detect patterns in market and forecast data
- Assist in maintaining and updating existing predictive models to ensure their accuracy and performance
- The application of the models covers: forecast of prices in the energy trading markets, forecast of demand for Power consumption, optimal dispatch of energy, analysis of weather variables, implementation of buy and sell signals for algo trading strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics)
- Experience with Python for data analysis and machine learning
- Solid foundation in mathematics and statistics, including probability, time series, and basic optimization
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with software development practices
- Strong team player with the ability to learn from and collaborate with senior colleagues
Nice to have
- Knowledge of versioning systems (Git)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure)
- Experience in a trading environment (in any asset class)
